Power Supply 

SeventyPWR has 70W of output power (+12V / 2500mA, -12V / 2500mA and +5V / 2000mA). The design is based on the more powerful HammerPWR PSU with few upgrades.

SeventyPWR PSU is targeted to all who want enough power, low noise, high efficiency, best filtering, and a high level of power stability and secure protection for all modules in the Eurorack case.

The narrow shape of SeventyPWR allows it to mount between two bus boards. A double output terminal connects wires separately to two (or four) bus boards. This minimalizes the wire length and impedance of the power network. SeventyPWR works perfectly with all standard bus boards.

A special feature of SeventyPWR is the possibility to adjust output voltage in a safe range. Output voltages +12V and -12V are factory adjusted with an accuracy of 0,1% or better. Adjusting features can compensate for voltage drops on wires under load. This feature allows setting very accurate voltage directly on the module’s power inputs.

As is our practice SeventyPWR comes with overvoltage, over temperature, over current, short current, overload, and input reverse polarity protection. There are two stages of input filters which decrease noise from power brick and the electrical grid.

SeventyPWR is safely + externally powered from a 90W power brick (Meanwell GSM90A19-P1M – sold separately ) to make sure you and your modules are safe as well under all conditions. The inlet panel with connector and switch comes with PSU as basic accessories.

This eurorack modular power supply is developed to provide stable and clean power and further address many of the intrinsic topics which plague the daily eurorack modular musician.
Why name HammerPWR you ask? It is quite simple. It packs a powerful 100W unit with an output that can supply enough juice to the most hardcore eurorack system out there. Two of these will get your eurorack modular system rig going for a lifetime.

HammerPWR is  a strong eurorack modular power supply meant for use in the hardest of conditions on the market featuring the highest power density money can buy. The ideal solution for the largest of systems featuring many power-hungry analog/digital modules or modules which draw a lot of current needed for their ensured smooth operation. The system of filtered protection on the inputs and outputs of the power supply stays in place with minor tweaks to its core design making sure that your system will keep operating under hassle-free, low-noise, artifact-free conditions while also being protected from noises present in the power grid at times so your system and modules are safe and intact from external occurrences, mishaps, and influences. To ensure the lowest possible noise within your system there are a special type of converter used with low noise on their outputs and the +12V / 5A line is split into two branches by 2,5A + 2,5A to further decrease inherent influence between modules. Eurorack side panels provide guidance for your rails to form a correctly sized 3U frame.  Therefore fixing the rails and modules inside your case will be very easy. By combining together a few frames you can create a case of any case size you need. Therefore our side cheeks are perfect hardware for any of your DIY eurorack modular synthesizers. Panels are designed to work with Doepfer-style mounting rails with lips.
The construction of the brackets is laser-cut aluminum in silver color.

Why aluminium side panels?

• Aluminium side brackets are much stiffer than plastic ones. We recommend using aluminum side brackets for constructions where additional stiffness is a necessary factor – plastic cases, leather suitcases, etc.
• Aluminium side brackets can be used with rails of any length. We especially advise using aluminum side brackets, with longer rails – over 126HP – for extra rigidity.

Assembly

The assembly process of a 3U frame using these 3U Eurorack Side Brackets is very easy: Align the holes in the bracket with a mounting groove in the profile. The top edge of the side bracket has to match the top edge of the rail lip – if those two elements don’t align, flip the side bracket for 180° degrees.  Fix both elements together with self-tapping M5 bolts. To make sure that rails are properly spaced and prevent them from rotating during assembly – put any 3U module between the rails before tightening the bolts.

A suitable size of screws to fix the modules to the rail (assuming a module’s faceplate thickness of 2mm) is an M3 x 6mm or M3 x 8mm if a washer is used. To prevent scratches on the module’s front panels we recommend using Anti Rack Rash Screws.

INSTALLATION INSIDE EURORACK CASE

You can install rails inside your case in two ways:

• First – you can drill holes in your case and fix the rails to the case sides using M5 bolts – you can find a wide range of bolts to choose from in Eurorack Accessories.
• Second – this method is perfect for everyone who wants to be sure that eurorack rails are perfectly spaced and who prefers to avoid drilling holes in the case. We recommend to use at least one slide nut per every 4HP of eurorack rail:

Assembly

The assembly process of a 4U frame using these side brackets is very easy: Align the holes in the bracket with a mounting groove in the profile. The top edge of the side bracket has to match the top edge of the rail lip – if those two elements don’t align, flip the side bracket for 180° degrees.  Fix both elements together with self-tapping M5 bolts. To make sure that rails are properly spaced and prevent them from rotating during assembly – put any 1U and 3U modules between the rails before tightening the bolts.
