Construction

  • 3m long, heavy-duty soft silicone cable (longer cables available on request)
  • full steel 6,35mm (1/4inch) Mono Jack with spring cable restraint
  • 35mm diameter, high-quality piezo Transducer

The piezo element of our microphones is housed in an extremely strong case manufactured using 3D print technology. The entire inside of the microphone case is filled with waterproof silicon material. On the outside – the metal surface of the microphone pickup is perfectly flushed with the case. Cable restraint on the mic end is done using a thick rubber tube with waterproof glue.

Every microphone is individually tested before shipping so they are ready to plug in and play.

    No worries – it is waterproof:) However, it is not a hydrophone so it is not meant to be kept underwater permanently – mainly because we didn’t have a chance to test it for long-term placement in sweet and salt water with different temperatures. But typically dropping into water to record some interesting sounds will not damage it for sure. Enjoy it! 🙂

    Looks and feels good but I can’t tell yet if it will outlive me 😉 The technical specifications give the impression it is fully waterproof but without saying it straight away, so I hope I don’t break it soon :s

    By far the best quality contact microphones I’ve yet to own. Wonderful sound quality and rugged design that makes me believe they’ll last. These are going with me everywhere when I travel to record.
