- BUNGEE CORD ATTACHMENT
This microphone is now also available with an optional bungee cord attachment that snaps directly onto the microphone body.
The bungee cord allows you to quickly and securely attach the contact mic to poles, pipes, racks, frames, and other structures — without tools or permanent mounting.
Perfect for experimental sound design, live performance, installations, and field recording, this attachment adds flexibility while keeping the microphone super stable during use. - REUSABLE ADHESIVE PUTTY
Another available option is reusable adhesive putty, ideal for quick and non-permanent mounting.
The putty allows you to attach the contact microphone securely to a wide variety of surfaces and can be removed without leaving any marks or residue.
This option is perfect for temporary setups, studio use, testing, and delicate surfaces where clamps or straps are not suitable.

WATERPROOF & HEAVY-DUTY DESIGN
The piezo element is housed in an extremely strong enclosure, manufactured using 3D printing technology.
The entire interior of the microphone is fully potted with waterproof silicone filler, making this a true waterproof contact mic suitable for demanding environments.

Every Gorilla contact microphone is individually tested before shipping, so it arrives ready to plug in and play straight out of the box.

No worries – it is waterproof:) However, it is not a hydrophone so it is not meant to be kept underwater permanently – mainly because we didn’t have a chance to test it for long-term placement in sweet and salt water with different temperatures. But typically dropping into water to record some interesting sounds will not damage it for sure. Enjoy it! 🙂

Looks and feels good but I can’t tell yet if it will outlive me 😉 The technical specifications give the impression it is fully waterproof but without saying it straight away, so I hope I don’t break it soon :s

the contact microphones I got arent exactly like shown in the picture, but I assume “heavy duty” = 6.35mm jack… as the ones I got look exactly like the non “gorilla” ones.
